Cha-Ching is a macOS app that connects to your payment platforms and shows your revenue in the menu bar. This policy explains exactly what data the app handles and where it goes.
The short version. There is no Cha-Ching server. The app talks directly from your Mac to the payment platforms you connect. We do not receive, store, or have any way to see your revenue data or your API keys.
The following stays on your Mac and is never transmitted to us:
If you purchase a Cha-Ching Pro subscription, the purchase is processed by Apple. We use RevenueCat to check whether your subscription is active.
Cha-Ching contains no advertising, no third-party analytics or telemetry, no tracking pixels, and does not use advertising identifiers.
When you connect a payment platform, Cha-Ching makes direct API calls from your Mac to that platform using your credentials. Those requests are governed by each platform's own privacy policy:
Revenue data returned by your payment platforms may include customer names and email addresses belonging to your customers. Cha-Ching displays this to you and can export it to a CSV file that you choose to save. That data stays on your Mac. You remain the data controller for your customers' information and are responsible for handling it in line with your own obligations, including GDPR and CCPA where they apply.
API credentials are stored in the macOS Keychain with device-only encrypted storage. All network requests use HTTPS/TLS. The app runs inside Apple's App Sandbox and the Hardened Runtime, which limit its access to the rest of your system.
Cha-Ching is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect information from children.
We may update this policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected here along with a revised date at the top of this page.
